Yorkshire is known as one of the most historic regions of the United Kingdom, renowned for its association with Celts, Normans, Vikings, Royal revolts and as a powerhouse of the Industrial Revolution.

As the largest county in England it boasts large stretches of unspoiled countryside, particularly within the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Peak District national parks, earning it the nickname "God's Own County".

Yorkshire houses some of the north’s biggest and busiest towns, notably Middlesbrough, Hull, Leeds, Bradford and Sheffield, all with universities, bustling shopping districts and nightlife.

The region houses many tourist attractions such as the historic cathedral city of York, Scarborough’s seafront, Harrogate’s spa and of course, its Dales and Moors which house a plethora of charming country pubs and country house hotels.

The sale of leisure and hospitality properties in the region is buoyant and property prices have steadily increased in recent years with many keen to relocate to the area from the South. The call for freehold public houses, restaurants, hotels and guest houses in the region is the predominant demand, however free-of-tie pub leases are also creating an attractive, low cost, opening to the market for first time buyers
