Experienced operators take the helm at Wick Lodge

Wick Lodge, situated on Jaywick Lane on the eastern fringes of Clacton-on-Sea, has been let to experienced operators who will continue to run the property as a public house with a food offering.

The new tenants are now preparing the venue for its next chapter. Wick Lodge is expected to reopen shortly following an extensive refurbishment, with improvements intended to create an attractive and welcoming destination for the local community and visitors to the area.

The two-storey pub offers generous trading space, including a main bar with seating for approximately 80 to 90 customers and a separate 34-cover dining room. It also benefits from a commercial trade kitchen, front and side seating areas, customer parking and three-bedroom private accommodation.

Its countryside outlook, combined with a position around ten minutes from Clacton-on-Sea town centre and railway station, gives Wick Lodge broad appeal as both a community pub and a food-led destination.

The letting secures the continued use of Wick Lodge as a licensed premises and represents a positive outcome for the surrounding area. With experienced operators in place and refurbishment works under way, the pub is poised to return as a refreshed and inviting hospitality venue.

Further information about the reopening will be announced in due course.

The premises was let by Sidney Phillips on a new free-of-tie lease.
