The Corner House in Sutton on Sea sold

The Corner House in Sutton on Sea sold

The freehold of The Corner House, an established café close to the seafront in Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire, has been sold off an asking price of £325,000.

Situated at 9 High Street, just a short walk from the beach, the property occupies a three-storey, semi-detached brick building believed to date from the early 1900s. Its position places it close to the amenities and seaside attractions of this Lincolnshire coastal resort.

The sale marks a new chapter for a business whose previous owners had owned and operated it since 1956. The property was brought to the market through Sidney Phillips to enable their retirement.

The café provides three internal trading areas with seating for approximately 59 customers, together with a fully fitted commercial kitchen. A front trade patio offers additional bench seating for approximately 18, while a rear driveway and integral single garage, used as a storeroom, complement the accommodation.

Private accommodation extends over the upper two floors and includes up to five double bedrooms, with one described in the particulars as a bedroom/dining room, alongside a lounge, kitchen/diner, bathroom with separate shower cubicle and separate WC.

Previously operated as a daytime café serving traditional light bites, The Corner House was marketed with scope to extend trading hours and develop an evening restaurant or bar offering, taking advantage of its premises licence permitting alcohol sales.
