This iconic, popular local pub stands elevated adjacent to the parish church is the gateway to the famous Victorian coastal resort and university town of Aberystwyth when entering from the West. Indeed, the village/suburb of Llanbadarn Fawr was the original settlement of what was to become Aberystwyth.
The Black Lion, which has been for generations in corporate brewery/corporate ownership, will now become a free house for the first time in living history and has been acquired by a local businessman/investor.
The Black Lion was sold off an asking price of £195,000.
