Leisure and hospitality specialist Sidney Phillips has announced the sale of a profitable hostel, pub and food delivery business in London.
The Royal Standard is situated on the borders of Deptford and New Cross, a vibrant and multi-cultural community which is gradually being redeveloped and gentrified to regenerate the riverside and town centre, including the construction of around 3,500 new homes. New Cross boasts a vibrant night life which is centred around Goldsmiths University.
The Royal Standard is a notable three-storey corner plot property which has been heavily invested in recent years. It provides a 56-bed hostel across 12 rooms, two well-equipped 'dark kitchens and well-presented bar.
The Royal Standard is a multi-faceted business which benefits from three strong and proven income streams: the hostel; pub; and food delivery business operating 18 brands from both kitchens.
Regional Valuations Manager, Robert Cockayne, who handled the sale commented: “Despite being a well-established business, there is great scope to increase turnover and profitability with the introduction of online advertising for the pub side of the business, as well as the premises licence permitting online alcohol sales which could be tied into the food delivery side of the business.”
The leasehold interest of the Royal Standard has been sold to a rapidly expanding hotel group, off a leasehold asking price of £170,000.
