The Swan Inn, a closed public house and restaurant situated in the village of Fressingfield, near Eye in Suffolk has been sold by specialist public house agent Sidney Phillips.
The Swan Inn is a three-storey detached public house understood to date back to the early 1700s. The property benefits from a main bar, snug, restaurant, commercial kitchen, ground floor cellar and car park. Across the first and second floors are six private bedrooms, as well as a living room and office.
The business closed in January 2025 due to the owner’s ill health, however prior to this it was operated as a traditional pub and restaurant, renowned for its classic British and themed menus, Sunday roasts and large wine selection. The venue has hosted a variety of functions and events such as live music, discos and charity fundraisers. The business’s main custom came by way of a destination clientele who travel from as far afield as Essex.
