The Sun & Slipper Inn in Mamble, Worcestershire, has been sold to a professional landlord and is set to come to the market to let shortly.
The sale marks a new chapter for the Grade II-listed village inn, which was brought to market through licensed property specialists Sidney Phillips following the previous owners’ decision to retire. They had operated the business since 1994.
Standing in an elevated position overlooking the village green, the detached property retains a wealth of period features, including exposed beams, brickwork and fireplaces. Mamble lies just off the A456 between Bewdley and Tenbury Wells, approximately seven miles from each town.
The accommodation includes a traditional lounge bar seating around 20 customers, a beamed restaurant with approximately 42 covers and a first-floor restaurant and function room seating around 30. Outside, a trade garden provides seating for approximately 30 customers, alongside a private garden and parking for 26 vehicles. Three-bedroom owners’ accommodation completes the property.
The inn underwent extensive refurbishment in 2020. It also benefitted from planning permission was granted in February 2022 for an extension incorporating seven en suite letting bedrooms, together with new toilets, a kitchen and additional restaurant space.
