Two Snowdonia National Park youth hostels, YHA Bryn Gwynant and YHA Snowdon Ranger, situated close to the village of Beddgelert, have been sold at auction by specialist property adviser Sidney Phillips.
YHA Bryn Gwynant is a Victorian Mansion set in 42 acres of land in the Nant Gwynant Valley, offering spectacular views of Llyn Dinas and ease of access to the National Park attractions and the many walking paths and waterfalls it houses. The property comprises the ‘Main House’ which previously provided communal trading areas along with private and guest accommodation; ‘The Coach House’, a self-contained letting unit with small classrooms and bedroom accommodation; a studio apartment; cottage; and Japanese ceremonial gardens.
YHA Snowdon Ranger is a 13 bedroom guesthouse situated in the village of Rhyd Ddu and located at the foot of Mount Snowdon with the footpath to Snowdon and the Welsh Highland Railway Station directly behind the property. The property comprises communal areas to the ground floor andlet ting rooms over the first and second floors. Its Coach House features staff and manager accommodation and directly facing the property is a woodland/trail area which leads to Llyn Cwellyn lake and reservoir which has stunning scenery and is ideal for water sports.
